# Emotional currency and binge watching

It takes energy to watch a series. The amount of mental and emotional energy that is required to watch and digest narrative is more than we estimate and often it drains any energy left in us.

Binge watching affects other aspects of life not by itself. By expending much of the emotional currency in watching multiple movies whose plots are novel, demanding or sometimes a very different plots than the ones we are used to.
